Humboldt CRM ("we", "our", or "the Company"), a company organized under the laws of the State of Florida, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our customer relationship management platform, in compliance with the Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA, §501.171, Florida Statutes) and other applicable laws.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information: Information you provide directly: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, billing address, and payment information (processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers). Information collected automatically: usage data, IP addresses, browser type, device information, and geolocation data (only with your explicit consent through our mobile app). We do not intentionally collect: Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, medical information, or biometric data as defined under FIPA §501.171(1)(g).
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve our services; process transactions and send related notifications; send marketing communications (with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time); respond to your comments, questions, and support requests; monitor and analyze usage trends; and detect, prevent, and address technical or security issues. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising or profiling.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information with: third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations (payment processing via Stripe, hosting via Railway, analytics via Axiom, email via Resend); legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case you will be notified of such change.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and access monitoring. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Breach Notification
In accordance with the Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA §501.171), in the event of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you within 30 days of discovering the breach. The notification will include a description of the incident, the categories of information affected, the steps we are taking in response, and contact information for inquiries. If the breach affects more than 500 Florida residents, we will also notify the Florida Department of Legal Affairs.
Data Retention and Disposal
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Upon account cancellation, we retain your data for a period of 90 days to allow for reactivation or export, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized. Financial and billing records are retained for 7 years as required by tax regulations. When records containing personal information are no longer needed, they are securely disposed of using industry-standard methods, in compliance with FIPA §501.171(8).
Your Rights
You have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; request portability of your data in a machine-readable format; withdraw your consent at any time; opt out of marketing communications; and opt out of targeted advertising or profiling (though we do not currently engage in either activity). Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for platform functionality and analytics cookies to understand how our services are used. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect platform functionality.
Children's Privacy
Humboldt CRM is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will promptly delete it.
